Spooky Week at the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary

It’s getting a bit spooky at The Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary in Looe this half term between 26th and 31st October.

On the lead up to Halloween there will be all sorts of spooky games and activities going on at the sanctuary all week. You can take a walk through the gardens and hear some spooky stories, go on a treasure hunt or get your face painted ready for an evening of treat or treating. There will also be a range of pumpkin specials at the Treetop Café for you to tuck in to.

Wild Futures is a UK registered charity founded upon five decades of experience and with flag ship project is the Monkey Sanctuary is committed to protecting primates and habitats worldwide. Capuchins are the biggest group at the Sanctuary and this is because they are popular as pets. Nearly all the Capuchins at the Sanctuary are ex-pets and suffer from a range of problems, physiological and psychological following their time kept as pets.  It costs nearly £6,000 a year to care for a monkey at the Sanctuary and so the charity Wild Futures very much values the donations generated from visitors throughout the year.

Visitors are promised a spooky week at the Sanctuary, it will be open between 11am and 4.30pm and normal admission prices apply. Don’t Forget! Your entry entitles you to membership of The Monkey Sanctuary for a whole year, including free unlimited re-entry. All visitor income will go right back into the charity Wild Futures to ensure that more monkeys can be rescued.
