The birds & the bees monkeying around for charity!
Media companies are coming to the rescue of a flood-hit West Country sanctuary for sick and injured monkeys.
Green Bee Working Media & Yellow Bird Media are hosting a FREE Networking Event along with Charity Auction this month to raise money for leading primate welfare charity Wild Futures.
The event is to be held at the Legacy Hotel in Plymouth on Thursday 28th February – 6:30-8:30pm and already some great items have been donated by local businesses including original prints, a laptop, a stand at a Network Central Event and lots more!
Both Hayley Patton from Green Bee Working Media and Chris Passmore from Yellow Bird Media have supported Wild Futures over the last 12 months. Just last weekend they donned monkey suits and jumped from 15000ft in a tandem sky dive to raise funds!
Wild Futures is a registered charity that operates The Monkey Sanctuary near Looe, Cornwall. It hit the headlines in November last year due to being hit by the floods, causing significant damage to its education offices and public facilities.
Hayley Patton of Green Bee said: “Both Chris and I have been working really hard to raise vital funds for Wild Futures. It is a fantastic cause that we both feel strongly about which really needs the help and support of local businesses. We hope to see lots of business contacts at our event on the 28th of this month. It will be a great opportunity to network with lots of like-minded people but have a bit of fun at the same time.”
Hayley Dann of Wild Futures stated: “We are very grateful for the continued support from both Green Bee and Yellow Bird Media. It has been a very difficult year for our charity and we are constantly being asked to rescue more monkeys in need. We have reached a time where we have less than one month’s reserves and so fundraising is more vital than ever.”
