Creative Design Agency Real Fusion Adopts a Monkey!
Creative Design Agency Real Fusion, based at the Tamar Science Park in Plymouth has jumped on board with leading primate charity Wild Futures and adopted one of their monkeys. Wild Futures launched its corporate adoption scheme towards the end of last year and Real Fusion couldn’t wait to be first to join the troop.
The team at Real Fusion selected Mr Monkey as their chosen capuchin. Mr Monkey was rescued by Wild Futures’ Monkey Sanctuary near Looe when his owners emigrated to Portugal and were unable to take him, as Portugal, unlike the UK has outlawed the keeping of primates as pets. Although Mr Monkey is troubled by stereotypical behaviours such as self grasping and over grooming due to his time kept as a pet, he now leads an active social life with his monkey friends at the Sanctuary.
Real Fusion has also been working with charity Wild Futures recently on developing their event brands such as the Night Runner and Wild Cycle events. The brands have led to considerable interest, attracting participants from far and wide.
Hayley Dann, Head of Income Generation and PR at Wild Futures states: “We are over the moon to have Real Fusion on board as our first corporate adopter. It is a fantastic mutually beneficial scheme and we hope that more businesses get involved. We are especially grateful for support at this time as our charity has been under great financial strain recently and requires more help than ever due to the increased demand for our rescue centre’s services.”
Justin Smith from Real Fusion stated: “We are proud to support the work of Wild Futures and be linked to such an innovative and green thinking charity. Corporate social responsibility is important to our business to ensure we are ‘giving back’ to the local community and importantly, the environment. Mr Monkey was the right choice for us because he is a ball of energy – his personality reflects the Real Fusion team perfectly!”
