Wild Futures to Celebrate Earth Day
Wild Futures’ Monkey Sanctuary based near Looe, Cornwall will be celebrating Earth Day this Sunday 22nd April 2012 by organising lots of earthly activities on site.
Visitors will be able to take part in scrap art, recycling and planting workshops, as well as attend talks on how to help our planet earth and to be more eco-friendly in everyday life.
All visitors are welcome and any children will get in for just ₤1 by whispering the secret code “Murray the Monkey”, and their school’s name, at the entrance desk.
Earth Day began in 1970 and has been celebrated every year on 22nd April ever since. More than 1 billion people now get involved in Earth Day across the globe.
Katie Timmins, Education Assistant at Wild Futures and activities organiser stated: “Our charity Wild Futures aims to protect primates and habitats worldwide and so we are very passionate about everything Earth Day stands for. A key part of our work is education and so we are excited to reach out to people in this way using fun and creative activities!”
